tiun

What it is

tiun is a commercial backend aimed at AI and SaaS builders who are tired of wiring auth, payments, customer records, and analytics as four separate vendors. From what we verified on tiun.io (2026-09-22), the pitch is one system: signup/login components, billing plans (one-time, subscription, usage), Merchant of Record payouts, a shared customer database, transactional email hooks, and analytics over the same data model — with an MCP/skills path so agents can integrate without you hand-rolling webhook glue.

Public comparison pages position them against Stripe-style stacks and other Merchants of Record. Fee examples on the site show their MoR path competing on total take-rate for international transactions; treat those tables as vendor claims and re-check pricing before you migrate.

Who it’s for

Solo founders and small AI product teams who want paid users live without maintaining sync between Clerk/Auth0 + Stripe + a CRM + a warehouse. If you already run a hardened Stripe + auth setup with finance OK with it, switching costs may dominate. If you’re pre-revenue and still validating the product, a thinner Stripe Checkout may be enough until MoR and tax compliance become the bottleneck.

Caveats

We have not run a production migration through tiun. MoR, tax, and payout timing are finance-critical — read their legal/docs and compare fees on your mix of domestic vs international charges. MCP “skills” install paths are powerful and also a trust surface: review what the agent can touch. Early-platform risk applies: APIs, SLAs, and edge cases will still be shaking out.
